| A series of 35 cards issued in Canada by the Walter M. Lowney Confectionery Company. One was inserted into each package of Lowney Chocolates. They are listed as V48 in Burdick's American Card Catalogue, they are entitled "Famous Trains". Each card features an image of an actual famous train from around the world. Their are 5 different trains in the series including the Twentieth Century of the New York Central Railway, and the Calais Mediterranee Express in Paris Each train has seven cars, including an engine for each one. The back provides information about the train featured on the front, and explains how you could exchange a complete set of 35 of these card for a box of Chocolates (making these cards even harder to find as many were probably sent back to the company for the chocolate). The Card measures 3 7/16 inches by 1 1/8 inches approximately. | ||
