A series of 32 cards issued in Canada by the SARATOGA PRODUCTS COMPANY of Toronto and Hamilton Ontario Canada. One was inserted into each package of their GOLDEN SARATOGA POTATO CHIPS. Unfortunately no guide that I know of lists them or provides an actual date of issue. However Saratoga did issue a series of cards entitled Warplanes (listed as FC17 in Burdick's ACC) and these were issued at the time of WW2. These cards have an almost identical graphic layout and so I believe were issued around the same time as the Warplane set in the mid to late 1940's. The front of the card features a black and white image of a species of Bird, while the back features a fairly lengthy description of the bird, with advertising for the Saratoga product, and informing the public that the photographs were originally taken by Hugh M. Halliday. The Card measures 3 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches approximately.
