A series of 32 cards issued by the WARD BAKING COMPANY of Cambridge Massachusetts. One was inserted into each package of their brands of Tip-Top Bread. The series has not been recorded in any guide that I am aware of (American Card Catalogue, Non Sports Bible ect.) Because of this I have not been able to find an exact date of issue. However based on the ships features on the cards, and the time that they were in active service I estimate the date of issue to have been sometime in the 1910's era. Each card features a black and white image of an active service American Navy Battleship at the time. The really special thing about this series is the fact that the images were taken by what is considered to be the greatest Naval Photographer Enrique Muller (as indicated by the copyright on the front of the cards). Each card also has a coupon section that you were instructed to cut off, collect 20 different and exchange them for a large size Rotogravure of one of the ships. The back provides some fairly detailed information about the ship, and series and advertising for Tip-Top Bread. The Card measures 5 1/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches approximately.
