| A series of 120 cards issued in Canada by the Telfer Biscuit Company of Toronto and Montreal Canada. One was inserted into each package of their Telfer Package Biscuits. They are listed as DC3 in Burdick's American Card Catalogue, they are entitled "Famous Movie Plays". Although no guide that I am aware of gives a definite date of issue for this series all of the movies featured on the cards were from the 1920's time period so I have always assumed that the cards were issued in the same time period. The front of each card features a black and white still image from a feature film. The back of the card features advertising for the movie and Telfer products, and has a premium offer for a large size picture of a Movie Star. The series is broken up into subsets of 5 cards for each movie with a total of 24 Movie groups for a total of 120 cards in the set in total. It has to be one of the most comprehensive card sets featuring films of the 1920's. | ||
