| A series of cards issued by the Valley City Milling Company of Grand Rapids Michigan. It was issued to advertise there brand of Lilly White Flour. Although I was not able to find this brand recorded in any guide it does use the same images as used by the Shculze Brad co and there D15 set in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue and is entitled "Bird and Animals" Burdick does not provide a date for this series, however the Non Sport Bible indicates it was sometime in the 1920’s, and I believe that this series was issued in a similar time period. Each card features a beautifully illustrated Image on the front of the featured bird or animal species. The back provides a brief informative description of the species as well as advertising for the bread. | ||
