A series of 24 cards issued by the F. WIDLAR company of Cleveland Ohio. They were issued as a premium to advertise their brand of Black Cross Coffee. The series is not recorded in any guide I am aware of (ACC, Non Sports Bible ect.) As far as I know the images used in this series are unique to this issue. I have not been able to find a date of issue for this series but I speculate it to have been issued in the 1910- 1920’s era. The front of the card features a colorful image of a beautiful woman wearing the National Costume of the country and a scene indicative of the country in the background. The back features advertising for the product, and makes mentioned that a full set of 24 of the cards without an advertising on them could be had from the company on exchange.
