| A series of Prominent Movie Star cards issued by the HOME BAKERY COMPANY. They were specifically issued to advertise the opening of a new branch of the Home Bakery, and appears to be regional issue. I have not been able to find this series listed in any of the guides that I am aware of (ACC. Non Sports Bible ect.). Because of this I have not been able to find an exact date of issue provide, but due to the style and the stars features in the set I am assuming it is the 1920's or may possible even earlier. The front features photographic portrait of the featured Actor or Actress. The back features advertising for the new branch of the Bakery and indicates that "All prominent Movie Stars can been seen at the Norfolk Theatre" (an early example of cross brand advertising). | ||
