A series of 90 cards issued in Canada by the WORLD WIDE GUM Company of Granby Quebec Canada (often referred to as the Canadian Goudey), in packs of their Victory Bubble Gum. Although there are no company identifiers on the card itself I have seen the wrapper from this series which indicates it as having been issued by the World Wide Gum Company of Canada. Burdick has listed this series as series number V406-2 in his American Card Catalogue. Unfortunately Mr. Burdick did not provide us with a date of issue, I have always assumed that it is some time around the late 1930’s or 40’s era as the subjects seem to mostly World War 2 Naval Ships or earlier. The card front feature a red toned photographic image dealing with the Military during WW2. There are two versions of this series issued. One that has the title "Victory Series" on the Front (V406-2), and one that has the title "Victory Bubble Gum" on the front. (V406-1) The back of the card is blank as it was issued.
